Please Help Me

Ok, so my computer was really screwed up and I couldn't get it to turn on correctly so i put in the quick restore disk to restore everything. After that the computer turned on right but it was stuck at 640 by 480 pixels and 16 colors and that is the only display i can get....can anyone help? cause I have no clue what to do.

you need to install the video card drivers for your video card. first determine what video card you have. secound download the drivers for that video card. third install the drivers.

It says Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) ...and then there is something that says ATI 3D-Rage LT Pro...Which one of my video card? (sorry, I know nothing about this stuff.)

ATI 3D-Rage LT Pro

This would be your card. It's a standard PCI Graphics Adapter.. Head over to ATi's website and download a driver.. I'm surprised however that your rescue disk did not provide one... Perhaps there's a second driver disk? sometimes is the case.

Not sure if its the newest one though, but it should work fine.

In order to recommend a driver you'd need to know more such as what Operating system. Anyhow if you head over to ATi's website you'll find one there and you'll need to sign up for nothing.

Gah!..The link doesn't help cause I'm windows 98, and that was for Windows NT4 only...:'(

this should be alright, if asks for sign in, use "driver2" for username and "all" for password.

before anyone gets upset with what i just said, they send that to everyone when you sign up, trust me, me my brother and my mate all got the same
