Please Help Monitor/Graphics card problem?!!!

Okay, so i have a EVGA GTX 650ti graphics card and a HP vs17 monitor and when i start my computer it says that the 'imput signal is out of range please change to 1280x1024 60ghz.' But when i check the resolution on the PC it is set to that so i thought that is was my monitor and i checked it and is says the current settings are 1280x1024 59.9 and i was wondering if there was any way to fix it without getting a new montior or taking it to a shop

I should also say that it works in safe mode but not in normal. I dont know if that would change anything but i thought it might help.
 
Have you installed the latest video drivers from nvidia's website? Your monitor does support that resolution so not sure whats going on.
