Please Help!!! Need To Get Online

HERES THE FACTS...TO MAKE IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE!

1. I have a Wii and a Laptop. (both connect wireless...and had been up to last week)

2. i had been connecting wirelessly by using someone elses unsecure linksys signal.

3. last week both my wii and laptop stop connecting to the internet...BUT the linksys signal is still up and running....So i went and got my own Wireless router (a TRENDNET) i set it up perfectly and my laptop is connecting to both the linksys and my own wireless...its saying its connected but when i click on Internet explorer...i dont connect.

4. So im confused...my laptop is saying its successfully connecting to both wireless signals....but im not connecting!!! and i need to download some old games from the wii!!!!!

please help
 
This thread will be closed, you are asking for advice in acquiring a signal which is not your, which is illegal.
 
forgive me if this is a silly question but it needs to be asked to ensure its not missing the obvious......

Have you signed up with an ISP to get internet in your home?
 
Yes i do have my own internet connection....its a cable connection for my own personal Home desktop.

however when i got my wii instead of hooking up through my home computer which is on the third floor...i looked for wireless signals and thats when i eventually found the unsecure linksys..

i know i was wrong for using someone elses wireless so i got my own....Now my laptop and wii wont connect to both the linksys or my own trendnet signal
