Please help! No picture on screen (rebuilding computer)

What I am saying is there maybe nothing wrong with your system, it likely will be that you just need to update the motherboard bios which will allow the cpu to function.

Without the cpu packaging or system running the only way to determine what processor you have is to remove the cpu cooler and read the writing on the top of the cpu itself.

If it turns out to be an ivybridge cpu, I would say all you have to do is use a spare or loaned sandybridge cpu to get the system up and running, then update the bios to the most recent version.

My CPU is:

Intel Core i5-3570k

Well as i suspected you cpu is ivybridge.

Do you have or can you get hold of a sandybridge processor ?

Since the first thought in my head is "what is a sandybridge processor" I guess the answer is no.
Where can I find one?

Is it normal that it's not working in the new case when it worked fine in the old one two days ago? Can it just happen when I move parts from one case to another?

So this was a working machine that you transplanted from it`s original case into a new case ?.

You have not changed the cpu ?

with your graphics card connected
enter the bios and make sure that the graphics card is enabled

What power supply do you have?

Your computer wont start without any ram, you will get 3, 4 or 5 beeps

wait just read it properly, you wont be able to see what you're changing in the bios so dont do that lol,

is the whole setup including the graphics card the same from before you changed the tower?

If so, either something isn't inserted properly or you have damaged a part, being the ram, motherboard or gpu

do you have another pc you can test all these items with?
