Hey everyone,

I am hoping you can help me out because I am pretty clueless about computers. I need to sell my current setup (don't want to but I have to) so I am hoping you can tell me what a fair price would be.

The specks are
Gateway GT5662

AMD Plenom Quad Core 9500
500 GB hard drive
ATI Radeon HD2400XT
Vista Home Premium
3 Gigs DDR2

Thanks for any insight

Thanks for the responses. I guess it isn't quite worth what I thought it was but every bit helps.

I would say high $600 range. Mainly because although you could buy the parts cheaper people are paying for an already built machine.

Why do you guys think this pc is worth so much, just curious?

New in Gateway's line of "retail-model" PCs, the Gateway GT5662 ($750 direct) is available online and in big-box stores as a nonconfigurable, take-it-out-of-the-box-and-use-it PC.

No offense, but the only things I see of value are the Quad (which is $90.00
new at Tigerdirect) and the Hard Drive ($70 at Newegg).

That GPU is bottom of the barrel, and that board nothing to mention.

While I agree with you on the fact the PC is not in itself worth much, to an inexperienced user, all they see is pretty high numbers (OMFG IS TEH QUAD COER!!!1!!!) and so on, so people are willing to pay for that. I'd suggest roughly 550 or so, but then again, I've seen significantly worse computers sold for more (New and used) so aim high, but be willing to be haggled I guess lol.

lol, yeah, aim maybe 150-200 higher than you want to get. Chances are you'll get something around what you want, but who knows, maybe you'll get lucky! :D

He asked what a "fair" price would be.
Not how much he could con someone
Into buying it for.

If you can get more than $300.00 for
It, more power to ya.
