Ok so I got a computer from my uncle, yet it will not work. I have 3 ide, which 2 are eide. Those for some reason will not allow me to connect any hdd or cd drive. I have 3 hard drives and 3 cd drives. 2 hdd are idea and the other is sata. all the cd drives are ide. Please give me full instructions as to how to set this up. I know a lot about this stuff, but I can't figure this out so no dumb replies like check the jumpers. I know that. I already checked cables and upgraded the bios. The motherboard is an asus p5wd2 premium. Thanks.

Did you try plugging the hard drives and CD-ROM drives into another working motherboard?

a little more system spec will help us narrow us down the problem.
in mean time if you are connection all the drives together, check with only 1 CD drive and 1 HDD (the main OS HDD) connected to motherboard.
also check in BIOS, about both channel set up (for IDE channel) and HD setup (for ACHI mode)
also when you say the computer will not work, what part of it will not work?? as clarification will narrow the problem down.
