thought this forum may be able to help me,(i hope)in relation to networking....
i have a nakamichi mbr-7 multi disk cd rom drive im trying to hook up to my desktop. all i have is a female 25 pin scsi female conector on my desktop, now this multi disk cd rom drive only has the extra wide scsi-2 female conector on it, and ive been looking for convershion cables on ebay to suit suit but nothing extrawide 50 pin male to 25 pin male, cant find any except for some extra wide 50 pin male to usb covershion cables.... (but they are very expencive worth much more than the unit im trying to hook up actualy) now my thougt is..... a usb is only 5 pins the scsi-2 is 50 pin,
im thinking of geting away with makeing my own cable!! i allready know the 5 pin diagram on the usb side but wich numbered 5 pins of the fifty in a scsi-2 are requierd to be conected 0-50+sheild (if as simple as that all the ones on ebay seemed to be strait cable ) if not how are those cables wired???? and if any has a diagram or pin numbers of the 50 scsi-2 that i need to conect to i would be fore evergratefull
