Please Help! Spyware/Malware problems!

well, interesting news. the ewido scan took over 2 hours and found 14 objects. i saved it to the desktop in safe mode, but now i can't find it in regular mode and the smitRem file is now back on the desktop. so who knows what happened. that's the bad news....

the good news is now the are no security alerts at all! the alert on the toolbar is gone, and my homepage just said about:blank, and had nothing on the screen. i assume this means everything is ok... what do you think? what is your advice on what i should do from here?

Ok, run smitrem from normal mode, and change your homepage in the control panel, finger's crossed it should work.:)
 
hey buzz, i finally ran smitrem. a few desktop items disappeared and my desktop is blue, but that's about it. i guess it worked, and everything is back to normal now.

Thanks again!! i would have been lost without this site :D
