Please help with problem connecting a hard drive

I bought a Gateway 7426GX at a yard sale for ten bucks. The moron owner took the hard drive out and threw it away because he was worried his data could be compromised.
So I went on the net to look for a replacement. I find hard drives on eBay but they have a different connector on them than the jack in my laptop. I have the caddy which is just a frame to screw the hard drive to with a compartment door on one end.
I took a photo of the jack in my laptop (top photo) and the connector pictured on the new hard drives available on ebay.
How am I supposed to connect these replacement hard drives when they have different connectors than the jack in my hard drive?
Any help would surely be appreciated.

Also, I don't need the 160gb drive on eBay although the $60 price is fair. Does anyone know where I can get a small drive for this computer for less money?

Most likely the hard drive he threw away had the adapter on it that you would need to attach to a new drive before putting it in the bay. You might have to call the manufacturer of the laptop for a replacement adapter.
