Please Help (xp boot, crash)

Hey guys my computer will try to boot then crash then try to boot then crash ext.. My guess is I need to repair the installation. I was hoping one of you could direct me to a site to download a setup disk that i could burn on a CD (I dont have a floppy drive) all I could find is the floppy boots and it wont let me burn it to a disk.

or if you have any other suggestions let me know. I dont want to reformat, as I am a musician and I have alot of recordings on there that would kill me if I lost.

(edit)Also I have Windows xp professional. sorry I forgot to mention it

are you getting any bsod error messages when your computer crashes?? or does it just freeze?? if you get any bsod ( blue screen of death ) messages press the pause button so you can read what the code error is!!!
 
I am getting a bsod screen, it flashes SO fast that I have no time to read it I tried to pause it and it would't stop. it gives the xp booting animation then the bsod screen then it restarts and tries again. it would do it all day if i let it
 
how long as this been having the bsod problems?? if just recently you could try starting in safe mode then trying a system restore back to a couple of day's before the error started?? or if it continues to bsod then i think it could be faulty memory, so i would try taking out a stick and trying with one to see if it boots up then o.k, or try swapping them in differant slots, and also to see if it is memory related error i would download memtest and burn the iso to cd and do a check of your ram when you do a reboot. i presume that you have a spare pc to download memtest

http://www.memtest.org/download/4.00/memtest86+-4.00.iso.zip just extract the zip file to your desktop and burn to cd, then reboot your computer and do a test

at least we can find out if it is memory related or no

Blue screen error occurs due to failure of RAM. so, you should check your RAM.Blue Screen of death may also occur due to malfunction of software and hardware devices. if this problem starts with any new software or hardware installation then uninstall it.
 
Hardware or driver malfunction is a typical cause of blue screen error. Windows OS usually halts and requires a manual computer reboot.

hi =) do the following: my compute (right click mouse) ->options ->advanced ->boot and repair ->options and take off flag execute reboot automaticaly )) after this action you be show BSOD =)
