I installed an update to a music downloading program (frostwire) and some how all my music in the folder where it used to be is gone. How do i recover the music and videos if possible?
Check you "My Music" folder. Or check your program files. (Start, My Computer, Program Files, Find Frostwire folder, Downloads) I never used from Frostwire. So I'm not sure what is uses. Try that than post please.
^^Thanks but no luck I have frostwire installed on an external hardrive and under a folder i created called frostwire. The application and the movies and music were in that same subfolder and now all the music and movies are all gone and it can clearly be seen since before it said i only had 5gigs of storage left and now i have over 23 gigs.
damn, I had that problem to man. Hmm, I don't know what's up. So you updated frostwire and than all your music was gone? And it does look like it's all gone. Did you double check you C drive? I know with Zune it's really wierd i myself have a external hard drive and I find all my music on my c drive for some reason.
Like i said i had that problem cept i didnt have any downloading program on it i just had it on Media Player and one day i hopped on there and ALL my music gone.
^^Yah man there no where to be found. I just dont get how it deletes all of the music and video that i had within a minute or two and its not in the recycle bin or anything. Ive updated before but my music and video always come along with the new install. ^^Thanks for trying to help tho. let me know if you come up with anything else like how to recover something recently delted.
Did it put it into the frostwire file? What OS? In vista just do a search for a file you know you have then right click and click open containing folder and BAM you know where all your stuff is
NO! System Restore, windows makes system restore points to go back in time a little bit and reverts it back to how it was at the time. Go to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore and then navigate to the date before you updated (I'm not sped I use frostwire too)
