All i see you guys talking about for vid cards are the 6600 or the 7800gt. Those are HUGE steps from one another. If you want something inbetween, and XFX 6800GS is a great choice.
1. I didnt upgrade a PSU, i simply got oneIs it really worth it to get the dual core processor instead of the 3500? Also I noticed you upgraded the PSU... is there a big jump in performance levels for getting this one? thanks.
PSU 101I am not very knowledgable about whether parts are really worth the extra $$.. Like the more expensive PSU, I am willing to pay the $30 more if it is really that much better than the one I have
Well the performance difference is "if you have a crappy PSU, it might not turn on and thus your performance is zero" ... as for why i picked the PSU i picked? it was methodically selected using advanced random determination algorithmsWhat does having more amps on the 12v rail really do for the pc? I read the guide on PSU's, and I learned that having at least 30 is good, but I am still lost on how it really effects performance, etc...
Go for whichever if cheaperDo you still think this one is good to use or should I go for the one you last suggested? Thanks.
What do you mean by sacrificing 200MHz? The dual core processor is 3800+, while the regular one is a 3500+.Praetor said:2. Dual core will make you happy. I would sacrifice 200MHz for an extra core any day
The dual core model will give you a better computing experienceI see that now... so even though the dual core processor is only 2.0Ghz, the performance would still outshine because of the dual core aspect? or would the performance of the althon 64 3500 (2.2Ghz) actually be better? I am a little confused and would like to get some feedback about this. Thanks!
