Don't like face book. that's a women thing i think mostly.

What is twitter? What do ya do with it? Whats is it good for?

Pretty bland, facebook is better.
 
It always seemed like facebook or myspace without a lot of the features to me. The sole reason I have an account on there is because of the monthly prize draw on here. I haven't won on here so I haven't been back on there since except for once. Oddly enough a guy that owned the shop where I got one of my tattoos done a few years ago randomly started following me on there. No idea why or how he knew who I was. I'd only ever talked to him once or twice.

I prefer twitter. On facebook everyone just moans how they want a relationship, at least Twitter is mildly entertaining. The Cons are the character limit, lack of options and lack of chat but the character limit is being upgraded, its getting more options and I dunno about the chat. At least with twitter it will work when you want to use it, not give off annoying errors like facebook haha. Its a better social network site if you are one that uses SNs on a mobile device haha.
 
Twitter is good for complaining. You can tweet as much as you want and it doesn't get annoying. Compared to Facebook, it gets annoying when someone updates their status every 5 minutes.

I hate to say it, but I do have a twitter account I made sometime back, I needed it for something that I don't even remember now.
I'd have to hunt through my e-mail accounts to find out what name I used.
 
Well i will never twitter or think i will not. Staying in contact i don't like facebook.
I do how ever like Skype for staying in contact with family, friends and people at work.
 
I think twitter is pretty good for things like breaking news, quick traffic updates, store sale announcements, other short things like that.

But for celebrity updates it's useless. Who cares what they are doing :P
 
I've found twitter is awesome for finding out whats going on during big events. I was at a gaming convention and I was using to find out when there were cool demos, where stuff was being given out, etc.

Other than that I don't have much of a use for it.

What's interesting to me though is that Twitter is an amazing tool to propagate news at an unprecedented speed. People tend to tweet on an impluse, i.e. as soon as something happens. The news that Osama Bin Laden has been killed broke on Twitter an hour before the official announcement was made. During the London riots people used Twitter to warn other of danger and to organize clean ups. Twitter is the perfect example of how technology now allows us to share information immediately and globally.
