Sorry if there was another thread on this earlier. Any who, i want to put a plexy glass window in two places on my computer. The 5" bays and the side panel.

Basicly i need to know if i can drill in plexy glass, or if i will need some special drill bit. Same goes for jigsawing it.

I also need to know how put the plexy glass on the side panel. Should i get a peice of plexy glass a little bigger then the whole i plan to stick in the side panel? EXAMPLE: I plan to cut out 15" by 18", so should i buy a peice of plexy glass 16" by 19"? The stick the plexy glass on the inside of the side panel and glue it in? Thanks

I'm no expert at this, but I would use a window trim for the window, it covers up rought edges that almost always oucur when cutting plexi unless you have a table saw. Just search some guides on working with plexi on the internet (you'll mostly find them on aquarium sites).

No you don't need a spetial drill bit, just make sure you don't drill to fast, or else the heat will melt the plexyglass. As for cutting, don't use anykind of saws, that will just destroy it! Use a sharp knife to cut about half way, then just bend it to break off, be carefull to not break what you don't want to break. If you need to do a more complicated cut, just try to use the knife, but be carefull not to press to hard as you come to the end, so you don't break it.

Bigger than the hole is a good ideal since you can apply the glue. You can special glue for pexyglass, but I think a cocking gun will do.

Hope that helps. :)
