PLS!!Suggest Secondary HDD..

Hi folks,

Would you mind sparing sometime to suggest a good HDD configuration for me to use as secondary ( or slave). I need to upgrade my system HDD. But i don't want to part with my old "baby" drive.
So i am planning to buy another HDD and connect it as a secondary one. But i dont have much idea regarding the hardware installation as well as the procedures to get it up and running. .
At the moment i'm equiped with a good samsung HDD (20 GB) running on windows XP. I prefer to have another 80GB HDD.

Any suggestions or links describing the proceures would be highly appreciated.
