Plz help w/ Memory and M/B compatibilty.

Looking for a M/B in the $125 range off of newegg that will work. Have a brand new ECS C51GM-M that the memory will not work with. Please help me ensure that the memory will work with the new m/b. Thanks

Also, my processor is socket AM2, Athlon 4200+

How "won't it work"? Are you sure it's RAM related? Corsair should be fairly compatible with most any board, as long as the specs are correct...

How do you know its the memory, most AM2 boards support DDR2 400-533-677 and 800

well, my original m/b was DOA so i took it to a local shop. The owner said that he tried the memory on a gigabyte m/b and it would not post or anything. also tried one stick at a time and had same results
