when i opened my laptop i reccieved a msg that says something about envirmental profile was corrupted!!!i recieved another msg says somthing that i'll use yemperoeay file profile! i ignored it and when the somputer started everything was gone from my documents and desktop. can i restore my folsers and files . . i don't know what to do . . did i lose everything!!!
 
You can try to do a system restore. Its under the start and all and accessories and system tools and system restore that might help go back a week or so and see what happens
 
i found my files in mu computer> C drive > Documents and settings > User

however i still have to use the temp account.
 
If you have a windows xp cd put it in and boot to it do the repair option and log into copy 1 of windows then type chkdsk/r and let that run and do it a few times becuase more then likely there are some missing files or some things missing in your registry and that will fix that for you.
