PLZ will these specs play quake 4

Ouch

I doubt you will get any decent performance out of what you have listed. Quake 4 is a highly demanding game and your graphics card, although it is a Geforce 4 MX440 is basically an improved Geforce 2 and simply does not support any modern features that Quake 4 undoubtedly requires to run properly! :)

it runs with this graphics card but the cpu is 100% and also its very jolty if ya know what i mean so will this new processor make it better for the game

you would notice a much greater improvement if you upgraded you video card, but yes it will run. Most likely on low-lowest settings.

yea but i was wondering if the graphics card can play the game then the cpu will make it alot smoother or will it

have ene of u got msn if so add me on [email protected]

it may be usefull to have people like u for remote assistance

c cause if its all rough and very etchy this might be cause of the cpu usege or dont that make a different in a game cause it goes alot slower when an explosion goes off

Hey

In your case, the CPU is not powerful enough it seems to handle the physics and the graphics card to handle the effects. Hence, your best shot would be to upgrade the entire PC. However, I know that that's a lot to ask for, so you would most likely see the greatest performance increase with a better GPU.

really good graphics without expense? haha... sorry, but they pretty much test things as to how well they perform, and charge the right amount of $

i wanna know if a sempron 3000+ and a nvida geforce 4 mx 440 graphics card will b enought for quake 4 :(

Most likely not, but I played Doom 3 on my old GeForce 2 MX400 and got like 9 FPS....:P

I assume you have an AGP slot.

Yea yea i do but i think i repeat myself when i ask this but

if it plays the game with the graphics card i have then surly a better cpu will make it better, in the terms of speed

or would it

I don't think you understand, you must replace that MX series card with something better in order to run newer games such as Q4.

You'll need something like the 6600GT or better to run the game at an acceptable framerate. You should be able to buy one for anywhere between $110 and $150 depending on the brand and where you shop.

Other upgrades may be required as Q4 is a seriously demanding game, a complete list of your hardware would be nice.

6600GT THAT SOUND KOOL ill look 4 it on ebay

my system hardware

is

pIII 800mhz but got a AMD Sempron 3000+ with 128kb cache operates at 18000MHZ

normal soundcard (nothing special)

Geforce 4 mx440 (AGP)

192mb of ram

oh and it is quite confusing so plz put it in better context

yeah, even to run it at low quality, you'll need to upgrade the RAM and the video card. It may be a better idea to just get a new computer.
