PNY Warranty

Hi,

I think my RAM may be failing on me as I'm getting a lot of BSOD and I've tried a lot of things to get it working but it still does it sometimes.

I've ran memtest and then both came out clean, could the results be wrong?

Also, I read that PNY RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, is this true?
Where would I send it to, to get it replaced, I can't really remember where I bought it from,

Thanks :)

Alright mate,

My 1Gb stick is made by PNY,However i got rid of the wrapping it came in a long time ago... i still have the recipt (Somewhere):D

Yes they do have lifetime warrenty with them...look here.

http://www2.pny.com/category_buymulti.aspx?Category_ID=30

it says

FEATURES:
Lifetime warranty
Free 24-hour technical support
Easy to install

However i wouldnt say your ram is the problem,Pny is quite a good brand imo.

Your best bet is to contact them via that webpage i provided the link for telling them the problem,But i think you would have to tell them where you purchased it from and have a recipt.

It can still fail though, right?

I mean, it may of just had it's time? It may not be the RAM like you said, I just think it may of been a good idea to send it to them and see if they can test it / send new ones to be sure, you know :)

I don't think I have the recipt still though, it's not like I can get a copy from a friend :P I did buy it.

I took a look and I couldn't find a link or anything to send them an Email?

I ran it once and thought it was Ok, I'm planning on doing it tomorrow when I'm at college a good test, 9 till 5 :D

I used one that didn't need to be booted from it ran in windows, you know which one I mean?

Also, I set it to 'all un-used RAM' because apparently any other setting would take AAAAGES to complete?

Thanks :)

Well a good test takes ages to complete :P

I think the one that runs off a boot disk is better but if you let either run long enough it should catch any errors. You'll want at least 2 passes.

I think I had linked that here before. It seems to have trouble trying to use all the RAM (makes sense because a bunch is in use for windows). If you are getting random blue screens chances are it's RAM related

I'll give it a go tomorrow and see what it comes up with, Well, It isn't a normall BSOD, it's empty, as in there isn't anything on it, just blue
