Pointer speed resets every time I restart my computer

Just as the title says, also happens when switching accounts. How do I make it permanent so I don't have to reset it every time?

Are you clicking on apply? Other than that, you may have some missing or corrupted system files. How long has it been doing this?

Are you using propitiatory mouse/keyboard software? It could be that.

Yea I'm clicking apply, the cursor works perfectly at the speed I need it at until I switch accounts or restart the computer then I have to fix them again. I think it's been going on about a month but I haven't installed or deleted anything in a long time.

Are you using propitiatory mouse/keyboard software? It could be that.

The only software I'm using is what automatically gets installed when I plugged in the USB receiver

I would try using a different mouse first,like a wired mouse instead of wireless.
