Hey guys I'm looking to upgrade from an outdated Dell to a more superb machine. I've been out of the technology loophole for quite a while now, since I've took up playing poker for my hobby. I was trying to figure buying a brandname vs custom. For what my main usages will be I figured with a little help I would be able to find a decent cheap prebuilt machine. I usuall play 6 to 8 tables with unsizable windows on a 19 inch with overlap which becomes quite annoying. I will upgrading to a 24 inch and using my 19 inch as a secondary monitor for web browsing/IMing/Hand Histories/Databasing etc.... without strewing my layout on my main computer. I realize I will need a dual video card to support this. My main problem comes in with the right pricing and specs I will need. I don't think I will be maxing out a top of the line comp to its full potential so I feel I will just need a solid affordable alternative. This is where I become clueless. I don't won't to go out and waste 2000 bucks on gear that I donot need I have better things to do with my money. If you guys have any suggestions/finds on good deals I would be glad to hear your opinions.
Main Usage
- Poker playing/downloading/music/databasing/data mining/web browsing but I will be multitasking most of the time while playing cards and databasing. Im unsure how this plays into the picture.
