First let me state they did not take my computer they took one of my workers

I am asking this because he has no computer now and cant

He tells me he has been on Myspace trying to get girls in his zip code to meet up with him. And he only emailed if their pro stated they were over 18. He asked them if they would meet up and watch him wack off NO TOUCHING OR SEX!

One girl started out as 19 then later said she was only 15, he said he didnt know which was true the 19 or 15 and she may just be playing with him so he chatted a little bit more. It dawned on him she may be 15 so he didnt talk with her anymore..Never sent pics or cam or set up any time to meet at all.

The cops yesterday came and got his computer..didnt arrest him ..I dont know why maybe they didnt have enough that why that got the computer.

How much info can they get from the hard drive? He tells me he has Cyberscrubed it many times in the last 6 months and has done a reinstall at least 3 times...Not because he was trying to hide kiddie porn from the cops...He says his wife gets mad if she finds out he has been on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader site.

He says there is no kiddie porn at all and no pics of him on it...can they pull up his chats even after he has done the above a few times?

I have read many different..some say if something been wrote over just once they cant get it...unless you are a terrorist then they may bring something else in.

So what can they get off his hard drive????

They data may still be there. Wheathet or not they will spend the outrageous $$ to find ot for such a minor aquasation is another whole question.

Solicitation of a Minor is a minor accusation????

The ICAC Internet Crimes Against Children has his computer

You would be very surprised what they can pull off of a hard drive...if they look hard enough and have the equipment...they will see exactly everything he has done.

Yeah, never underestimate the government. Keep in mind that that law enforcement have their own tech teams capable of getting any kind of data off, even if it's been wiped numerous times or whatnot.

Theoretically, you can assume that the government is even monitoring all of our activity online right now, as I'm typing up this post.

If they need to find evidence for some crime and it's digital, they will go to extreme lengths to find it, but keep in mind that some situations, the police need to gain a warrant before they can search the HDD.

He seems like a low life anyway, perhaps he should spend his time mending his marriage and not cheating on his wife.
Sincerely hope the police can read every byte.

Honestly, OP, I don't know why you posted this. Not like we could do anything about it.

Smells of trolling. And crappy trolling at that.

He must have been doing something wrong in order for them to take action and take away his pc...Its a bit unusual that he was not arrested though.

You say hes mentioned that he "has Cyberscrubed it many times in the last 6 months and has done a reinstall at least 3 times"...Very Suspicious

Yes, I wonder why the didn't take him in at the same time...they told him they could have his computer for a month or a year

And then not arrest him? Dont make since unless they didnt have enough and hope his hard drive has kiddie porn

There's more to the story than what's here. The person has been under investigation and they have enough for an arrest but need the hdd for evidence. As soon as they confirm it, justice will be done. I hope.

Like the justice of this thread being removed, i hope.
It could have been a simple comp. hdd question, but noooo...

What? Emailing a 19 year old adult on Myspace? Didn't know that was against the law

Lol? Adultery is illegal? First time I heard of that. Just googled it, and it sure is, in 3 states from what I gather, and if you are in the US Military. Here in MI you can get a life sentence!

BTW, since we all know this is actually a trolls work, not a very good one but still, lets ALL stop posting in this thread NOW.
