I was curious what others are using for pointers with their laptops. Personally, I can't stand the touch pad. I carry a mini mouse with me, and only use the touch pad when I absolutely have to.
 
I use either, it's usually depending on my situation and what I'm doing.

Say I'm on a train going to work or something, using my laptop I would usually be to lazy to pull a mouse out and use it, but if I were going to play a game, or use Photoshop or something like that I would pull it out and find something to use it on. But if I were coding or doing something that didn't require much mouse work I'd just use touch pad.

But of course I'd use a full mouse when I were at home and stuff.
 
Touchpad always...

my laptop has perfect dial for sensitivity so its awesome...

Even with my pc, I use an Adesso wireless keyboard with touchpad built in...looks like a laptop without screen,

I rarely use my mouse--cept for photoshop and a few select programs.
 
if you ever want to do any gaming use a mouse. if you want to just use it for regular use get a touchpad, it is that simple.
 
I voted other. On rare occasion I do prefer a mouse, but I mainly use just the keyboard and with multi-touch touchpads I find them more efficient at times.

I use keyboard short cuts for most of my work anyway.
 
I prefer full size mouse all the way and touchpad will NEVER be used by me.

I am 6'4 my hand is to big for those small mouses/phones lol.
