I am new to this but i have been reading on here for a few days trying to figure out what to do about my problem with my computer, but no luck. It is running really really slow and has a lot of pop-ups that i have no idea where they came from. Here is my hijackthis log:

You have quite a few infections here.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to C:\SDFix

You may wish to print out these instructions or copy them to a notepad document since you will be unable to access the Internet while in Safe Mode to read from this site.

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode (tap F8 just before Windows starts to load and select Safe Mode from the list).
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt in your next reply
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from Click the Scan for Vundo button. when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Once done,
1. Please download this file - Combofix to your desktop
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply as well

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Finally, please navigate to C:\Program Files\HijackThis and rename HijackThis.exe to scanner.exe (or anything else that's not HijackThis.exe).

Please post:
  • The SDFix report
  • The Vundofix log
  • The Combofix log
  • A new HijackThis log

Try tapping the F8 key repeatedly until the menu comes up (if you get a keyboard error, you've hit it too early).

If you're having problems with the F8 key method, try this:
  • Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG in the box and click OK
  • The System Configuration Utility appears, On the BOOT.INI tab, Check the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and then click OK and Restart your computer when prompted.
  • The computer restarts in Safe mode.
  • Before running SDFix, open MSCONFIG again, on the BOOT.INI tab, uncheck "/SAFEBOOT" and click Exit Without Restarting
  • Run SDFix as in my first post

If that still doesn't work, try running the VundoFix and Combofix scans first - some variants of Vundo can prevent you from booting into Safe Mode.
