POP3 Account Problems

I have 2 www.mail.com email adresses and one that a friend set up for me on a website we did together at webmail.servage.net and I want to manage all three in outlook. I have windows xp sp2, outlook 2002. I cannot seem to find the right pop3/smtp servers for either as I put in the email addresses, my passwords, and what I think are the servers and I cannot connect to anything. Can someone help me out here?

Also, a general question. Does outlook sign in everytime you start it, or how does that work? For example, does outlook delete messages from the mail.com site or do I have to log in and delete it from there manually as well? Also, does it sign out after I close outlook down, how does that work?

not all sites HAVE a pop server

some use imap, and some don't use any outbound servers at all (web based only)

i know aol uses imap/smtp

and outlook doesn't immediately delete your messages. When you delete them, it just strikes through the messages. You have to go to 'purge deleted messages' to actually delete them. Think of it as an e-mail recycle bin.

If you're not a fan of the strike-thru you may be able to make it delete the messages right away in the options, or you could simply use outlook express, or thunderbird instead (i personally LOVE thunderbird) both of which delete the message from the server right away.
