pop3 e-mail problem, please help!

hey, when i try to send an e-mail it wont go through ans says "the host pop3 could not be found" what do i do? please help me through this and thanks.
 
Is this from your email client? If so, it most likely means you have the wrong mail server specified. Most mail servers are "mail.[domain]" or "smtp.[domain]" but differ by host.
 
Which mail client are you using?

For Outlook, just go to Tools>Account settings and modify your POP account there.
 
This behavior can occur if you have Zone Labs firewall software, such as ZoneAlarm or ZoneAlarm Pro, installed on your computer. These programs can prevent communications with your mail server.
To resolve this behavior, remove the Zone Labs firewall software from your computer.
 
try going to you email provider e.g. google mail or maybe your ISP such as Virgin Media and look at the FAQS and it will see a question such as "can i use my email in email software stuff such as outlook" and they will provide you the correct information and links for setting it up.
