Porn?

I use firefox and my fiance uses internet explorer. Well I have been using internet explorer lately and typed in an address and I found porn in the little drop down box. I FORBID IT ON MY COMPUTER.:mad: I don't want all that in my registry or whatever happens.:confused: I know it isn't good. I ran ccleaner. But I'm not sure if there is anything else I can do.

By the way, when I asked my fiance, he blamed it on his friend. :P
 
Tell your fiance, err, his friend, that if he must use it, use FF as theres much less risk of it infecting your computer.
 
Visiting porn sites can give you a nasty infection. Believe me, I know. Just keep your Anti-virus running, I suggest either Avast or Antivir as the have a form of resident protection. Basically it stops anything it recognizes with malicious code from executing, it also stop the more malign types that fester and cause innumerable problems. Run it on a regular basis as well.

Anything else? Keep the firewall running, and keep a couple Spyware programs handy, I use both Spyware terminator and superantispyware together, it's perfect. Other than that you can afford to to relax. Porn is unavoidable, and so are the inevitable virii that climb aboard. Just don't beat him too long, for his transgressions.
 
Yeah well I sort of believe him. I really don't care. Either way. Is there anything that I can run to get this crap off of my computer? I cleaned the registry. :D
 
Defender Pro

I have Defender Pro for my anti virus. Does anyone know anything about it? So far I haven't had any probs. (Since June) I guess if it's not broke don't fix it. But I was just wondering if anyone recommends something better. :P
 
Wow fiancee still looking at porn after being engaged thats never good... I must say as all guys have i looked at porn before being engaged but actually once i started dating my fiancee of present then gf i stopped no need to becuase i am very satisfied with her no need for those stupid 10 second teaser clips on the net lol!!! Seriously though try a scan with adaware and spybot search and destroy as well...

I seriously don't believe that it was him. When I asked his friend if he looked at anything resembling porn his reply was. " Why would I look at porn on your computer when I have my own computer to use?" Well actually it's his mom's computer and I have heard her *****ing at him about her computer. So you put two and two together. Plus I have never had any probs with my fiance looking up porn. :D

Um, everyone looks at porn, its a billion dollar industry. I don't think it is anything to be ashamed of, and who cares. It is better he looks at porn over cheating on his significant other.

Looking through your log file, I don't see anything suspicious, and the few processes I had to google came up clean. Are you experiencing any issues with your computer, or were you just double checking?
