possible build good?

im looking into building according to my sig... got some good free parts and want to make use of them to play games like bf2 and coh on like low-medium settings will this work???


Motherboard
Processor
Video Board
Ram (i may put annother one in later but i want this build to be really cheap) if i have to i will add another if that is the only thing holding me back...

will this do???

innexpensive... yea i was lucky my friend did a build and gave me the:: Motherboard and so i needed to do a build so i created one out of that free part... i bet that build from Dell or Hp was like $800 at some point and im doing it for 150...
 
I think the minimum ram amount for bf2 is 512mb and my experience with having the minimum is usually playing on the lowest settings. there was a thread some where on here where some one said that bf2 on full settings uses 1.8gigs of ram :eek:

so it would seem that medium settings would need more like 1gig of ram
 
I ran full settings fine with 1.5GB of ram.

@ lhstud10, you definately want more than 512mb of ram. Before I upgraded my ram from 512mb, I remember playing BF2, and wasn't very fun. There was hella skipping every time you started a game. When I upgraded to 1GB it ran SO much better.
 
oops... so it loks like 1 gig it is... what about the videoboard what do you guys think of that... and the processor...
 
I have an x700pro, AGP though. But the card is becoming out dated really fast from what I see. Overall though I like it. The card, along with an extra gig of ram increased my system performence tremendously, and can run CS:S and Dawn of War and games like that very well (W.o.W is ran so-so). I cant complain about that card, it installed easier than a 6800gt when I was upgrading. As for the processor I dont know
