I have had an intermittent problem lately. What happens is sometimes the computer boots fine, sometimes I have to cycle it a few times. Sometimes it will boot for a little bit then the screens gets a lot of little boxes across it and it black screens out. Most of the time I can reboot it and have no problems. Booted it earlier today no problems at all gamed for a couple hours booted it down and went to boot it now, and my USBS won't power on, screen doesn't even register a signal 90% of the time I boot it, but computer boots with no beeps. I built the machine brand new 2 years ago. Could my power supply be bad? I don't have extra parts or machines laying around either..

Your just gonna have to do some diagnosing to figure this out. You definately don't need 750 watts for your system. A good 450 watt unit will suffice. This could be power supply, video card, hard drive, motherboard, memory, etc..

You could try resetting the cmos and see what happens. Remove power from power supply, remove cmos battery, press the power button on the case a few times to discharge any remaining power, then wait 5 -10 minutes. Then reconnect everything.

Also when you built your system, did you use the brass standoffs between case and motherboard?

Brass standoffs, yes.
Called MSI today, the error code I get part of the time isn't even in their system as a code... 2A. I mainly get code 37 thought which is Northbridge. Today I reset the CMOS with the jumper, and also by disconnecting everything and removing the battery, still no solution. Check all the pins for output on the PSU and everything is within range. MSI thinks it may be the board. I tried just 1 stick of RAM, then tried my other stick still problems. I have no other graphics card, but tried it in different slots and no fix. The graphics card does kick on and was still running very well(80-100FPS playing WoW) And that is in the slot not optimized for the card, apparently one more slot down will double the current speed, it is only working at half capacity. Will have to try that out when I get my new board. Heat has never been an issue, I have the Antec 1200 case with 3 front fans, 1 huge top fan, and 2 rear fans. I am not sure on the temperature but it has never gave me reason for concern.
