Hi All,

Its looking like my laptop is about to go bang, so im looking to build a new desktop as I rarely take the laptop away from desk, now I have some bits already like case and 19"widescreen hd screen, and also have dvd drive, so here is a list of what im thinking but didnt want to spend more than £400 really, so if anyone can suggest any changes and better places to get stuff that would be grand.

Asus P5KPL/EPU(Skt 775) £50

Intel Core2 Quad Q8400 Retail £128
(Including Heat Sink+Fan)

Right-Tec 600W ATX PSU 12cm Fan £20

Samsung 1 TB SATA II F2 £58
EcoGreen 5400RPM 32 MB Cache

Kingston 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 £26
(800 MHz)

Kingston 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 £26
(800 MHz)

Palit GeForce GTS250 1GB Green £99
(DVI+HDTV) PCiEx

This is all from web systems which is a computer shop near me that seems to do great prices.

Thanks
Adie

Hey now, that somewhat looks like my options, especially for the memory. I'd advice you to look for Q9400, because I think it costs just 20 or so more (2.6 Ghz). I'd love to hear some input on that graphics card by other users...

Slightly slower AMD quad-core with Faster Video card and better quality PSU.
