post individual links please :)

what is your overall budget? what do you plan on doing with the build? what is the graphics card you have already?

case or case

psu

ram

cpu

motherboard

unless you are an audiophile, you should be fine with the onboard audio. up to you.

os you don't really need windows 7 ultimate.

hard drive: i am not very familiar with the ssds, but you'd be better off with one of those and another drive for storage. someone else can recommend one of those for you. for storage though, this should be good.

Onboard audio is not to be trusted. A soundcatd is much better, you will never go back to onboard audio.

You have also selected a dual channel motherboard and tripple channel RAM. find some dual channel DDR3 (2 sticks, not 3)

HDD: good speed but is 150gb enough space? have a look at the Caviar Black 1TB/500GB drives

Please oh please get any other brand of 5770. XFX should be avoided.

I agree about Win7 ultimate. The benefits are things your not likely to need for a home computer. Save yourself the money.

Win7 Ultimate benefits:

Can connect to a domain, Supports Remote Desktop, supports two physical processors, supports encrypting file system (EFS), Applocker, Bitlocker, BranchCache, Direct Access (think you'll ever use any of these?)

Home premium is sufficient for any home user, and so much cheaper :)

Onboard audio is fine for most people, especially with newer boards that offer multichannel HD audio.

I agree with the RAM comment.

These hard drives are solid, fast, and inexpensive:
Seagate ST3500418AS 500GB

I have to strongly disagree with the XFX comment.
Double Lifetime Warranty is impossible to beat, and their Customer Service is second to none. :)

On the HD drives, going with two of em on a Raid 0. Audio, I got two house speakers with 8" subs. Onboard audio doesn't really cut it, as I like to rattle the windows next door.

House speakers is kind of ambiguous - if they're stereo speakers the on board audio will do nicely. Surround sound, then you obviously need 5.1. Regardless, you need to provide power to those 8" subs - so some kind of amplifier would be needed to be wired in between.

If it were me...

Antec 902 with Asus P6X58D-E $305 (Love this Combo)
i7-950 with NH-D14 Cooler $365
XFX 750 with 6 GB GSkill 1600 DDR3 $215 (Love this combo too)
Saphire Toxic 5850 $320
60 GB Vertex SSD with Win7 $200
Optiarc DVD $19
F3 1 TB $60

I'm not gonna lie, at just under $1500 I'm liking that build. You never really mentioned what you'll be doing with your build, but I'm sure this will do it. You also never mentioned if you'll be OC'ing, but this will do that too, and is just under your budget. If you wanted too, you could put in another 5850, or skip the 5850 and go with a 480... the PSU will let you do what you want if you Really fealt you needed a monster. Good Luck with the build.

A few people have had problems with the warranty on another forum, so now people who frequent that forum or have seen the posts assume that all people who claimed warranty with XFX in the last few months had a terrible experience, because 1 person did. I've personally never had a problem either. Another "downside" to XFX 5770's is that they only have 1 crossfire port rather than 2, which really isn't a downside either, because why would you triple crossfire 5770s?

You will see much, much better performance out of getting an SSD for your operating system+a few programs/games/frequently used programs, and then another drive for storage than you will with RAID0ing 2 hard drives.

Would change some things:

CPU + mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.520362 $484

Storage Drive + PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.514423 $210

Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231304 $135

SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227610 $120

Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125316 $360

Sound Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132014&cm_re=xonar-_-29-132-014-_-Product $210

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112159 $300

DVD Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118031 $17

CPU Cooling: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835242001 $62

+ 2x fans for the heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608004 $52

OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116754 $100

Total = $2050
After MIR Total = $1990

The only thing I would change there, for your budget, would be the CPU cooling. I would put some research into setting up a costom water cooling loop and set one up. $264 left over (before MIR, without the air cooling) is more than enough for a watercooling set up, and you would see much better cooling performance. Personally, dropping $114 on air cooling, but for the budget, I wouldn't stick with the stock HSF
