possible over heating problem

I have just started having issues with my computer. Im running a 1055t processor and a I have never had any issues with it, however last night I installed borderlands 2 and ever since I have been trying to play it My computer has acted as if its over heating.

I am unable to verify the temperature of my cpu because for some reason no temp monitor will work on it now though i remember them working in the past. My GPUs are running at normal temps acording to the Catalyst Control Center.

Does anyon know how I can fix the problem of not being able to see the temp of my cpu and any ideas on my possible heating problem. Cheers

computer just freezes up, screen goes black and monitor goes into standby and the cpu fan is screaming. I have had the issues before when the fan failed and it is acting in the exact same way.

Have a look in the BIOS and see if you can find out the CPU temp. Remove any dust from your system.

Ok in getting confused and frustrated my computer is acting as if its over heating. It just shut down then however the bios only reads 51 on CPU temp. The thing is it really seems like a heating problem. When the system crashes the CPU fan is at max so making a lot of noise, the monitor goes into standby mode and the system becomes unresponsive and when I reset it it won't work straight away, I need to give it a minute before it will power on. I am totally stuck on what the real problem is since all the temperature gauges say its not too hot. Someone please five me good advise.... Or beer to make me forget the problem
