possible to remove IE7

Is it possible to remove IE7? Under add or remove programs, there is an option for IE7 to remove it. Will that totally get rid of it because I never use it anymore. Or should I keep it? I use firefox.
 
I was told not, you have to do a fresh install again. But hopefully someone here can...i'd love to remove it!
 
If you installed it, then it would be under the add/remove programs menu. But make sure you check "show updates".

Yes, it's under Add/Remove programs, after un installing it you have the default ie6 again.
 
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Then go under the Add/Remove Windows Components, and uncheck internet explorer.
