Possibly adding another GB of Ram

Well im thinking about getting some more ram after getting xmas money, but my question is to keep it in dual channel would i need ram with the same timings? or would it be ok if i had two sets of 1gb with different timings but both running at pc3200?

You can mix and match different kinds of RAM, but for best performance and guarantee that everything will work, try to get the same make and model of RAM, with the same or similar specs.
