Yeah, I'm 16, do you have a problem with it? What really pisses me off is when people underestimate me, based upon my age. I apparently know more about computers than you (no offense) so if I were you, I'd take my advice.

As for SLI and my opinion on it, I think you'll find that most people here, even the "older more experienced people" will agree with me.

I'm out.

i get the same thing and im 14
who cares how old you are, asd long as you get the help you need

Wow, that's the first time I even looked at the age of people who posted, never noticed how many people under were here... I mean, I knew there were some, not that many... and guess what... I don't care, if they can think rationally which most(I say most cuz I assume that some can't) of them can, then I'd much rather follow their advice than someone who can't figure out that buying 32% of a card(cuz that's the equivalent of what it is) isn't the deal of the year.

I mean, sure enough there are people who make/have lots of money, not saying I do or I don't, but when we give advice, we tend to think about maximising everything in regards of the money spent.

As for SLI, it is not worth it because the performance gains do not justify the extra money spent. The extra cost isn't only calculated with the GPU, but also the mobo, which needs to be able to take it, the PSU which needs to be able to power it... Then it adds more heat to the case, so the extra needs to cool down... And obviously the extra needs to power it. So, IMHO, it is not worth it for your wallet and the environnement.

It would make more sense, to actually buy a high end card now and buy a brand new one when you need to, the gain in performance will be more significant and it will last longer. Now, of course there are some cases where SLI is useful, but given the little info you gave us, one could not possibly assume you are in that situation.

Information we know about you:
You have a limited budget of 100-175$
You play games
You are not filty rich (assumed from the fact you are thinking about selling your old parts)

You have a serious attitude problem. Some of the younger members' of this forum happen to be the smartest. ;)

meh.

i could care less. theres other things you use your computers for other then playing wow and yu gi oh. thats why i dont really care what kids think even if they are smart as a whip.

wow amazing i found a big forum to sell my computer parts on and so thinking my search was over i registred. wait a minute now, whats this? i cant sell my stuff? well thats pretty lame. lets see it says here i need to make 100 posts before i can sell stuff. hmm. time to spam i guess.

well if i was a lame spammer i prolly would do that. then i would be deleted.

k so anyway heres my first post.

whats a good entry level pcie card to buy? Im looking in the $100-175 range cuz im waiting for the 9 series of nvidia cards. for comparison i've been using a aiw x800xt agp and i usually play games around 1024x768-1280x1024 res. its still a decent card but im buying a new system so lets hear your suggestions.

GeForce 7950
GeForce 8600GTS
ATI HD3850

Very true! And most maturest! (Ahem ben :D)

Agreed! That that's a big relief for me :P I actually like younger people coming here :D

**** You. Wow and Yo Gi Oh are both gay, and its ignorant on your part to say that just kids play WoW. Unfortunately grown men also play that stupid ass game.

I also love how you thank people that help you, as long as their not a kid. I know what kind of person you are, an aarogant jackass with more money than brains.

Its a wonder, how I say the very same thing as so-called kids said and I am trusted while they are not... But had I said that just a year ago, I would have said some totally idiotic things, because it is with the help of those "kids" that I am able to understand things the way I do now.... and yet, if I have a question, I know they'll be there for me...

ok, so, this thread has obviously been hijacked by someone who decided that people are smarter when theyre older.
i dont care if he was the thread creator, he 'jacked it and now look where it is.

can i get an A-MEN-AH! for some peace and equality among CF users?

kids are smart...and by the way, its probably the WoW (among other games) players who know more about the video cards, 'cause theyre always trying to increase their FPS in game.
think before you flame, and happy holidays :)

I believe this topic isn't really worth discussing anymore. A mod should probably lock it before this guy gets pwnd by us anymore, he should receive a swift kick in the ass, and be sent a message from someone who he might actually listen to. Enough said.

Ok guys I think we need to calm down here.

Denizendazzler: Why do you not like kids giving you advice? We don't have to be 18 before shelling out advice to people and most of us are as mature as adults. (And by judging this thread, more mature)

man you guys really dont know how to let things go. this is too funny. you guys are really "pwning" me. give me a break.

Kilauea --- you gave me a little more info then the other guy. honestly though the reason i dont want advice from kids is they usually go by things they hear or whats the latest fad rather then based on actual experience or know how. its nothing personal so relax fellas.

...also they tend to whine a lot too.
