Post speaker making continuous buzzzz

I just swapped my mobo over to an Antec 300 case and got the speaker from my old case and brought it over also (because we know the 300 doesn't come with a speaker ) but now it makes a non stop buzzing..Whats up with this??? The only difference is the Antec has the fans that came with it and I also put in a Zalman 9500...Has got to be somewhere in the mix of the change-over because it didn't do it B-4...And it is a buzzz; not a prolonged beep...Kinda like a dial tone on a phone when you pick it up to make a call and you check for a dial tone first...

Sounds like maybe it has a charge running through it from your computer not being properly grounded. Pull the speaker from the case and just hold it in your hand and see if it still happens. Also, is the speaker just the one that does your post beeps, or does it output all of the sound for your computer?

Did you make sure you have the speaker plugged in properly. If you've got the power and ground wires crossed by the speaker being on backwards you'll get exactly what your describing.

Yea its just the small computer speaker that makes the post beep..And it does it with it in my hand...And I am pretty sure I had it on right..Now I want to connect it the other way just to see if that fixes it, but Im almost positive I had it on right..It still does the post beep before it starts the buzz just like its suppose to...

Nope...Not it...Any more suggestions??
