thx. lol yeah. been with computers my whole life... ok. so have you tried a different monitor. if so. do you get anything on the monitor. like the bios?
 
ive tried 3 different monitors that all work just not on that computer
when i plug it in the monitor just goes into sleep mode and is black the whole time. but nope nothing on monitor
 
ya but now what if i want to play a game like bf2142??? i probably couldnt put the card back in right? and i dont really want to go buy a agp card.
 
Are You Running On Onboard Video Or A Video Card...if A Card Your Monitor Should Be Connected To The Card
 
well my problem was that it wouldnt run with the video card in. so i took it out and it ran fine. but i was going to install battlefield 2142 on here but no graphics card. well i didnt have an adapter for the card
 
nope. this computer is like 3 or so years old. its also like a office comp so not really any need for pci express if they were making them with that slot then. but i might be building my own comp soon anyways so do u think i could salvage some stuff from it like cpu, ram, hard drive, maybe power, and maybe some other stuff?
 
where would i find that at??? its a dell optiplex Gx260 and i think it is like 2002 model. there is a sticker on top of comp is that what u want?
 
it has 80gig drive, 1024 samsung ram, a MIC video card ( which dosnt seem to be working ) , windows xp pro
 
ok so my problem from b4 could it be that i just need to plug the monitor straight into the video card instead of into the blue one???
