Potentially Unwanted Program Blocked

I have a new laptop a Lenovo with Windows 8 and installed with McAfee Virus software.

Just recently I have been getting the messages on regular intervals, very annoying and frustrating.

"Potentially Unwanted Program Blocked"

McAfee prevented a potentially unwanted program from running. Protect your PC by only allowing programs you trust.

I click on REMOVE" and OK and it disappears seconds later another one appears.

Is there something I need to do to stop this recurring, only happens when I have my Pale Moon Browser open ?

Unless you have a rouge addon installed in Pale Moon or something else going on there I would ditch Mccarefree and use Bitdefender Free.
 
Unless you purchased the full version then you only get a 60 or 90 day free trial of it. What do you have your home page set to? It could be that mcafee don't like your homepage. You should be able to configure an exception for it. But I find Mcafee and Nortons too intrusive and memory/system intensive.
 
Unless you paid for a subscription, most new laptops come with a 30-90 day trial and it works up through the end of the trial, then says you need to buy it. So unless you specifically paid for a subscription, it's only a trial.
 
I had the same kind of issues when I had McAfee and it usually started when it got close to renewal, I always thought it was a way to get me to renew, because it would stop as soon as I did.
