Power adapter help

hi I just bought a msi GTX 1060 graphics card and it need power supply but my psu only has one 14 pin plug Is it possible to get an adapter to split the supply into a 14 pin and a 8 pin I know you used to be able to get things like this if you still can any ideas where

What cable is that for? Where is it attached to? What is the make and model of power supply you have? Is this a store bought pc?

That's the ATX plug. You don't use the ATX plug on a graphics card. You should have additional plugs for PCI-e devices.

The PCIe plugs look like this:

Yeah it's a store bought computer and for some reason that's the only lead coming from the power supply I was just wondering if there was a way to get an adapter to make that one lead into two lead for the motherboard and the graphics card

Prob gonna have to get a new psu

I get the feeling that's a generic 300ish watt built in unit, meaning you need an upgrade to power the 1060. You'd likely need an adapter to 20/24 pin to 14 pin as well.

I want to say those are HP Towers that have those... maybe?
