Power connection...

Ok...kinda hard to explain. Where the AC cord plugs into the laptop, the part on the laptop is busted, and I'd like to take it apart and replace it. I received a quote for fixing at $250. So simply put, where the power is connected to the laptop, it's been wiggled too much, so it doesn't connect when plugged in. Ideas/tuts on how to do this would be appreciated.

Never taken apart a laptop, but I don't imagine it's that difficult. Repairing is another thing, but this is somewhat minor. I would see if you could find the a jack that fits at Frys or RadioShack or someplace, and go from there. To do it right would require some soldering experience, however.
