I got a kit that gives me an eSATAp port by plugging in power, internal USB and internal SATA into this one card. I have a Seagate FreeAgent Goflex drive with the eSATAp connector. The drive doesn't really work when plugged into the port. In order to get it to show once plugged in I need to scan for hardware changes in device manager. it always freezes up transfers and it takes a restart & scan for new hardware to get the drive going again. The drive works fine with USB 2.0 except it's half as fast as SATA. the port seems to work OK. I'm thinking it's the motherboard or some settings I need to change in bios or in Windows 7. How do I fix this?
