I tried to turn the laptop on. All the lights turn on for about 2 seconds then shut off. There is no video display. I have tried pulling memory out and replacing it with different chips. I have also tried turning the machine on with no battery installed. The light is lit on the plug. Does anyone have suggestions?

Motherboard is shot. Just like the other thousands and thousands of other dead DV9000 laptops.

you could have the chip re-balled professionally. should last you for few years again.
