I'm not really sure where this belongs. I figured it would be more of a hardware question than a general laptop question.
I've got a fujitsu tablet pc. The power adapter is rated for 100-240V at 1.4-07A and 50-60hz. It's the original power adapter for this model. I've got two of them which are identical.
I live in the US, but when I first took this computer to Europe (France specifically) and I plugged it in, it should have been just fine, since France is 230v @ 50hz. But often times it would start vibrating on the wrist rest just over where the hard drive is, and I would get shocked every few minutes while typing. My solution was to just charge it and then use it unplugged. I dealt with this for about a month. It never did any damage to anything, but it was annoying.
I've since replaced the hard drive to a bigger and faster one (80gb 5400rpm to 320gb 7200rpm) but everything else is still the same.
Now I'm noticing w/ the power adapter, not sure if it was the same one I took w/ me to France, that it sometimes does this to a lesser degree here in the US.
I'm not sure if this is a problem w/ the adapter or w/ the computer itself, but it's annoying.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
