power supplies dead

Hi,

I put my computer to sleep mode for several hours.
When I press the power button ON (front panel). System powered, LED on, CPU fan on but never boot to Windows. I waited for a minute or so, press the POWER button (front panel) & hold 30 seconds. The system shutdown/powered off. I powered back up, still no boot to Windows.

So I power OFF completed and with unplugged power cable.

Now, I just plug the power cable back in. Turn on the switch in the back & power button (front panel). I'm not getting any power on. I also take out CMOS battery and put it back in.

Is this meant my power supplies is dead?

Not neccessarily but the only way to find out is to replace it with a known good one. The problem with that is if something is blowing your power supply then the new one will blow as well. Perhaps one of these gizmos would be worth buying. basically if all the LEDs light up then your power supply should be good to go.

I got all 6 LED light up except -5V with my MB ATX 24pins.
I'm not getting -5V lit up, do I need to buy a new power supplies?

These are SATA connections tested and I'm getting different LED results each time.

These is to test 6 pins.

Those PSU testers simply test voltage, although if there's an issue with the PSU not providing enough amperage the test will pass and the system still won't boot correctly.

Do you have a PC speaker for any error codes or anything? Otherwise I'd start with the PSU but may also be motherboard related.

I am unable to power up with plugged into MB. So I would not see any any error code.

Unless you got some ISA bus floating around you don't need a -5V. Power supply probably doesn't have one.
