2. For my graphics card i bought a sapphire r7 250. it says it needs 400watts. so i was planning to buy a new power supply which was 500watts. and will a new power supply make my computer explode because i think my computer only needs 250w.

im new to this. i really dont know what to do.

1. Mid-tower PSU's are a standard size. You don't need to worry about it fitting.

2. It won't blow up. It will pull the amount of power it needs.

Do you know anything about graphics card? Because now that I have hold the installation of my new graphics card im putting back my old one and now its not working

my old one was "Nvidea Gforce gt610 gc lp 2gb ddr3" it does not require a cable for the power supply.... Even the new one doesnt need cables... you just plug it in...

Are you sure the card is fully inserted? What motherboard do you have? If you have onboard video, make sure the video cable is connected to the output on the card.

I already fixed it. can you recommend a power supply for my new graphics card (sapphire r7 250.. it needs 400watts..... i need an affordable one)

Yes. The card don't need that much power. But if you plan on upgrading the card later you will need a better power supply.
