Power supply compatibility?

I was looking at some power supplies and it started to list the processors it was compatible with. There are requirements besides voltage to be compatible? If so what? I have this processor, what is compatible?

Theoretically, any power supply out there right now can power that CPU. I would look for the brands corsair, antec, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, and xfx. What are the rest of your system specs?

The PSU will supply the correct voltage (or almost correct voltage if it's a cheapo), what you need to worry is about is wattage (and quality). You don't have to worry about compatibility with PSUs besides making sure that the PSU can actually supply enough power without blowing up (the components themselves don't matter, just the power draw of the system as a whole). I don't know why some PSUs list compatibility with specific components, I think it's just marketing - all you need to do is get yourseof a quality supply.
