power supply exploded!!!

well, as u may understand, my power supply exploded...
i bought a new computer and im wondering if theoreticly i damaged any other electronics in the computer.
what happend is that after i've built the case and plugged in the power supply, i overlooked the power voltage and used a 115v instead 230v which is used in my country.
my specs are as follows:
q6600
asus motherboard 775
4gb memory
2x500gb HD
asus dvd burner
saphire 4870 512mb
mia midi sound card

do u think that any of these things could be damaged???? especially about the graphic card im afraid of...
the exploded power supply gives 550w, obviously i need to get a new one, will 550w should be efficient? what happens if i use a 400w power supply? can it handle this machine?

Its possible. I've done this before (More out of bordom and seekig a thrill did it deliberatly). When i did it, it didnt take the rest of the pc with it. However a friend of mine did it also and it did. I like to think there is more to it than just luck, but i guess the only way for you to tell is to try to fire the bits up with a new psu.

As for the new one, the is SOOOOOOO much more to a psu than just going "oh! That one is 550w! It can run a 4870 :D". Alot more. It comes down more to brand and quality than wattage. A company is allowed to market a psu at a said wattage if they can get it to that wattage during testing. Thus if you go out an but a $30 550W psu, chances are that it isn't going to be a true 550W. For a 4870 i'd get more than a 400. Go get a 550W antec or thermal take psu minimum.
