power supply help

i was wondering if you could put any power supply in any computer. i have a dell dimension xps b773 and it has a 200 watt psu and i want to put a 400 watt in there.

Certain Dell systems use proprietary PSUs, and I believe that you have one of them. You will not be able to use any regular ATX PSU. PC Power and Cooling do make a compatible power supply if you wish to upgrade: http://www.pcpower.com/products/viewproduct.php?show=S36D

hey I used to have a Dell XPS 410, when I had it I bought the Antec 500watts and fitted perfectly.
