i just got a now Mp3/Mp4 player and i would like to know if i need any type of transformer when i charge my player. The reason is i am going to china and from what i know the power voltage is larger compare to US's power supply.

Where can i get one for cheap? it does not have to be fancy but i would prefer it to be new.

Thanks

Most devices like that will work fine in different countries, you just need a converter for the plug. Check the specs on your transformer and they should read something like 120-240v 50-60hz if it's compatable in other countries.

Like you siad it says 110-240V 50-60hz on my charger.

What is a converter for the plug? is it just something that I use to make the plug on my charger fit to the power supply outlet?

Thanks

According to wikipedia, China's power outlets are a combination of A, I and some G styles (left to right).

All you'll need is a converter to fit one of those plugs. Which one exactly, I don't know. Nothing external needs to be done to the electricity flowing from it.
