Power Supply?

I recently bought everything to build my own computer.
I have everything put together, whether its right idk.
When I go to turn the power on, it powers up and lights up for about a second before shutting off.
Any reason why this would be happening?

Maybe your computers shorting it's self. Are all the motherboard contacts properly in place and are you sure there's nothing shorting any of your components?

Can you post your specs as well mate?

Next possible bad question: did you hook up the 4-pin connector if it is separate from your main connector?

Maybe a PSU problem...this happened to me a day or two ago, and it was the hard drive. The computer wouldn't boot with the HDD in.

If you have any other hard drives, try hooking it up (or hooking up your currernt HDD to a different computer).

Might not have a powerful enough PSU? Sounds kind of obvious, but it could be true. Or maybe you just got a defective one.
